Die hard Star Wars fans probably wouldn't consider Rogue One to be as good as the original episodes. But I for one think Rogue One is the best Star Wars thus far. Episodes 4-6 are somewhat dated but Star Wars fans still have some nostalgia for them, and why not?! Episodes 1-3, well let's face it, just weren't that good. Whether it was too child-like (think Jar Jar Binks) or just confusing on how Anakin just all of a sudden turned to the dark side in Revenge of the Sith, Rogue One can stand on its own. It certainly isn't a feel-good movie...it's darker than other Star Wars films, has lots of action, and will take you for a thrill ride. True Star Wars fans will appreciate how the movie fits in to the original Episodes with the way it's tied in with A New Hope. Although you won't see Luke Skywalker or Han Solo, you'll still enjoy seeing Jyn, Cassian, Bodhi, K-2SO, and the rest of the rebellion fight Krennic, Darth Vader, and the evil Empire and its Death Star.

Universal Studios 50th Anniversary 2015 Season Pass

I’ve always loved going to theme parks and so does my family, but sometimes I feel too old for some of those thrill rides. For the most part, theme parks are for kids. One of my favorite theme parks though is Universal Studios in Hollywood. The kids love going on the rides, and as an adult, I can still have fun because Universal Studios is movie-themed. I absolutely love going to the movies which is why I enjoy the attractions at Universal Studios. That and some of the rides and attractions there remind me of the movies I saw when I was a kid, making me feel all nostalgic inside. Rides like Jurassic Park, King Kong (which was upgraded a few years ago), and Jaws rides make me feel like a kid again and the kids have fun on those rides as well. My absolute favorite though is the Universal Studios backlot tour where you can see old props and sets from some of your favorite movies (ie Back to the Future, Psycho, etc). You get a behind the scenes look at how movies are made and where the magic happens. If you’re like me where you enjoy the movies or just like going to amusement parks, then you can take advantage of the 2015 Universal Studios adult season pass at Costco. Costco is offering the 2015 season pass for only $79.99. It’s such a good deal at Costco that it’ll pay for itself after the first few visits and is a better value than buying single-day tickets. This is also certainly cheaper than if you got the season pass at the park. That’s not bad for a summer of fun at one of America’s best known theme parks where you can also enjoy the movies. Cinemark Theaters Movie Tickets (qty 2)

The Cinemark supersaver discount movie tickets make a fantastic present and it can be used at any Cinemark, Century Theaters, CineArts, Tinseltown, or Rave Cinemas. I don't usually give a lot of these as presents so I buy a couple at a time for my own personal use. It's always good to have around since we like going to the movies every so often. Everyone enjoys going to the movies so why not save a couple of dollars while you're at it. Costco's price is such a great value at $8.50 per ticket, although you have to purchase in pairs at $16.99 per pair. It beats paying $11.50 for the adult price at the movie theater or Fandango (which usually charges an additional fee). The only time it doesn't make sense to use these tickets is for Early Bird Access, which is the first matinee screening of the day or when paying for a child's ticket. This is especially useful when you decide to take your family to go see, say, the Hunger Games movies or the upcoming Star Wars movie (Episode 7: The Force Awakens). When I have to pay for everyone's ticket plus drinks and snacks (you can't pass up movie theater popcorn), it quickly adds up, so this gives me a chance to save where I can when going to the movies.
