Townsend Farms Organic Triple Berry Blend (3 lbs)

[Scroll down to view product info]

If you love going to Jamba Juice for a smoothie, then you should first check out the Townsend Farms Organic Triple Berry Blend at Costco to make your own smoothies. This berry blend consists of frozen strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries which can be thrown in a Vitamix, Magic Bullet, or Ninja blender. What's great is that it's already frozen, so there's no need to put ice that could water down your drink when these berries can already serve as the ice. Even though it's frozen, it isn't frozen with that all too sweet syrup normally found with frozen fruits at the grocery store. You definitely don't need that extra sugar. With the Townsend Farms Organic Triple Berry Blend, only the berries itself will provide the sweetness. These are great for breakfasts on the go or after a workout, so if you enjoy drinking smoothies then check out the Townsend Farms Organic Triple Berry Blend. It's healthier and can save on the cost of buying a $4-$5 drink from Jamba Juice.

Field to Farm to Family, Since 1906

Townsend Farms, a six-generation family-owned operation, is located in Oregon's beautiful Columbia Gorge. The fertile, sandy loam soil and temperate Oregon climate yields an abundant harvest of luscious berries - Black Raspberries, Raspberries, Strawberries, Boysenberries, and Blueberries.

Here we manage our fields to make plump, tasty berries; then pick and harvest them at the peak of flavor, then we package and truck our berries to your favorite store so you can enjoy fresh tasting berries any time. We also work with berry farmers around the world that have the same values as we do about food safety, to source and pack exceptional berries for your table.

Berries are our business. Enjoy!

Citrus Fruit Tree - Assorted Varieties (Orange, Lemon, Kumquat, Lime)

[Scroll down to view product info]

It's that time of year again when Costco has a variety of fruit trees for sale. These assorted varieties of citrus trees usually make their appearance in February or March every year at Costco before spring and, even more importantly, the planting season. These fruit trees at Costco are a really good deal versus getting something comparable at a nursery or hardware store. You can just get a few of these (choose from navel oranges, meyer lemons, fukushu kumquats, limes) trees and plant them in your garden or backyard. They should grow in no time and be able to bear fruit within a few years with proper care. Not only that, but they have the potential to provide valuable shade when it's too hot and act as a windbreakers. We actually have a plum tree from Costco that we planted in 2014 and it's already producing some sweet plums. You better act fast now for these citrus trees because once they're all sold, Costco won't have any more of these until next year.

Citrus Trees (3.5 gallon Assorted Varieties - Lime, Tangerine, Kumquat)

[Scroll down to view product info]

If you have a backyard or you enjoy gardening, then you may want to decorate your backyard by planting some citrus fruit trees. At Costco, the assorted varieties of citrus trees include lime, kumquat, and tangerine. These citrus trees will make the outside decor and landscaping look a whole lot better, but you have to act fast because each Costco only gets one shipment of these citrus trees every year. Once they're all sold, that's it for the inventory until the following year since these trees are a seasonal product. That and these trees are a lot less expensive that if you go to a garden nursery and buy something comparable which will cost more. For $17.99 at Costco, you can't go wrong. I know every year my dad looks forward to these trees because he buys 1 or 2 every year. Ever since he retired, he's been doing a lot of gardening to spruce up and maintain the backyard during his spare time. It'll probably take a few years before the citrus trees start bearing fruit, but there's definitely a sense of accomplishment when they grow and the first fruits start appearing after buying and planting them as small trees. Planting and maintaining them are pretty easy - you don't need a green thumb to enjoy them. Pictured below is a lime tree that my dad planted a few years ago. It already bears some fruit, and is still going strong. You could also get an apple or plum tree if your prefer those fruits instead.

I know every year my dad looks forward to these trees because he buys 1 or 2 every year. Ever since he retired, he's been doing a lot of gardening to spruce up and maintain the backyard during his spare time. In fact, I was with him when he got both the plum and apple trees from Costco this time last year. I took pictures of both of them today (see below). You'll see the plum tree is starting to bloom - we were lucky because there was one plum tree which was further along and already had a lot of branches which we ended up getting. The apple tree isn't blooming yet because I think apples are in season during the autumn months. It'll probably take a few years before the trees start bearing fruit, but there's definitely a sense of accomplishment when they grow and the first fruits start appearing after buying and planting them as small trees. Planting and maintaining them are pretty easy - you don't need a green thumb to enjoy them. You could also get citrus trees if you prefer limes, oranges, lemons, etc.
