Willett Family Estate Bottled Small Batch Rye, aged 4 years
The descendents of Thompson Willett specialize in Single Barrel and Small Batch Bourbon and Rye Whiskey. Many of the whiskeys in the Willett portfolio have been recognized as some of the finest in the category.
Willett Rye is a small batch Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, distilled, aged and bottled at Willett Distillery. The first distillation was on the column still and the second distillation was on the copper pot still.
The high rye Willett mash bill is 74% rye. Non-chill filtered, Cask Strength Rye Whiskey (56.9% Alc./Vol.).
Cocchi Vermouth di Torino
For its 120th anniversary in 2011, the house of Cocchi resumed production of its "Storico" original recipe Vermouth di Torino, first offered in 1891. In accordance with the requirements for Vermouth di Torino, Cocchi uses estate Moscato as the wine base, and vibrant, spicy botanicals such as cocoa, citrus, and rhubarb. 3 oz. Willett Rye Whiskey
1 oz. Cocci Vermouth di Torino
3 dashes Scrappy's Aromatic Bitters
Fabbri Amarena Cherry for garnish
In a frozen mixing glass, combine the rye whiskey, vermouth and bitters. Fill with ice and stir for 20-25 seconds. Strain into a frozen cocktail glass. Garnish with an Amarena cherry (or two) and be sure to savor that first sip!
