As mentioned in an earlier post, I got my mom a Fitbit for Christmas. After a couple of months of use, the Fitbit works just fine for her. The problem is that it's overkill. It has way too many features for a 60 year old woman. My mom just wanted something simple to track her steps and distance she walks in a day. She does like the fact that she gets to check her progress on her smartphone or iPad. Before I got her the Fitbit, she was thinking of just getting a pedometer from REI. For someone like my mom who isn't too tech-savvy or someone who doesn't want something too complicated, then the Jawbone Up Move Activity Tracker might be for you. It does a lot of the same things a Fitbit can do but just for the fraction of the price. I could've just gotten my mom one of these Jawbone Up Move fitness trackers, and she would've been just as happy.
