Great news everybody!...I just spotted some more of the CAcafe Coconut Coffee at Costco. I first spotted it in a Costco in Maui, Hawaii a few months ago as mentioned in my original CAcafe Coconut Coffee post. Lucky for us, Costco just decided to have these in stock once again. If you like a hint of coconut in your coffee, then you most certainly will enjoy a cup of CAcafe Coconut Coffee. When you drink CAcafe Coconut Coffee, you don't even need to add any sweetener like sugar or Splenda in your cup of coffee. Some people have mentioned that you don't even need to add any creamer as well. This comes in handy if you're lactose intolerant. CAcafe also has Coconut Mocha, Coconut Cocoa (hot chocolate), and Coconut Tea (which also seems to be a popular choice) available for sale, but unfortunately those are not available at Costco...only the original CAcafe Coconut Coffee can be found at Costco. Those are, however, available on Amazon (see below) if you want to give those a try. It also helps that a new Harvard study suggests drinking a whole lot of coffee is actually quite good for you, so you may want to stock up now while Costco has a whole bunch of these available before they run out.

Nespresso Vertuoline with Aeroccino Plus

When I got my Nespresso machine, I stopped going to Peet’s and Starbucks. Not just to save money, but also because the coffee coming out of the Nespresso just tasted so much better. The espresso was both stronger and more flavorful than whatever I was able to buy at some chain store. And it also produced that fine, light brown top layer of crema, the oils from the coffee beans, where the true flavor lies. So when the Nespresso Vertuoline came out, I had to do a taste test at the store to see how different this newer version was. Traditional espresso machines including the original Nespresso would use pressure to push hot water through coffee grounds in the capsules. The Nespresso Vertuoline’s Centrifusion technology spins the capsule at 7000 rotations per minute to blend the coffee with the hot water. Is this better than the older espresso machines? Who knows. All I know is the coffee coming out of the Nespresso Vertuoline had a really thick layer of crema at the top, producing a really intense, flavorful cup of coffee. I was not only impressed with the Nespresso Vertuoline but also surprised with how they can improve on the older models. The model at Costco also comes with the Aeroccino to froth the milk either hot or cold. I have used hand-held frothers in the past but those pale in comparison to the Aeroccino which froths the milk to a nice, thick layer of foamy goodness. For those that just want a simple cup of coffee as opposed to espresso drinks like cappuccinos and lattes, you’ll be glad to know that the Nespresso Vertuoline With Aeroccino Plus can also do normal coffees. If you prefer the older style Nespresso machines, check out the Nespresso D60 Pixie. It still produces a great cup of coffee that you would think a professional barista made it.
