When I got my Nespresso machine, I stopped going to Peet’s and Starbucks. Not just to save money, but also because the coffee coming out of the Nespresso just tasted so much better. The espresso was both stronger and more flavorful than whatever I was able to buy at some chain store. And it also produced that fine, light brown top layer of crema, the oils from the coffee beans, where the true flavor lies. So when the Nespresso Vertuoline came out, I had to do a taste test at the store to see how different this newer version was. Traditional espresso machines including the original Nespresso would use pressure to push hot water through coffee grounds in the capsules. The Nespresso Vertuoline’s Centrifusion technology spins the capsule at 7000 rotations per minute to blend the coffee with the hot water. Is this better than the older espresso machines? Who knows. All I know is the coffee coming out of the Nespresso Vertuoline had a really thick layer of crema at the top, producing a really intense, flavorful cup of coffee. I was not only impressed with the Nespresso Vertuoline but also surprised with how they can improve on the older models. The model at Costco also comes with the Aeroccino to froth the milk either hot or cold. I have used hand-held frothers in the past but those pale in comparison to the Aeroccino which froths the milk to a nice, thick layer of foamy goodness. For those that just want a simple cup of coffee as opposed to espresso drinks like cappuccinos and lattes, you’ll be glad to know that the Nespresso Vertuoline With Aeroccino Plus can also do normal coffees. If you prefer the older style Nespresso machines, check out the Nespresso D60 Pixie. It still produces a great cup of coffee that you would think a professional barista made it.

Coffee is definitely a big thing in our everyday lives: we love coffee the first thing in the morning as a "pick me up" (who doesn't love the smell of coffee as you're waking up), we love it with dessert, and we love having it in social gatherings. What's great about Nespresso coffee machines is that: (1) convenience: you don't need to make a whole pot of coffee with a traditional coffee maker if you only want a single serving of 1 cup for yourself. (2) versatility: it's great when you're hosting a party or get together and your guests have the option of choosing a particular coffee flavor (ie hazelnut, toasted almond).
