Samuel Adams Winter Classics Beer Collection

One reason why I love winter is that I get to sample the winter beers that breweries have to offer. These seasonal brews are only available during the winter months, so I definitely have to take advantage before the spring and summer beers start showing up. It's a good thing Costco has the Samuel Adams Winter Classics Beer Collection available. Usually you'd have to go all the way to Boston, MA just to taste obscure Sam Adams beers. That's why it's great that Costco has these. In addition to its normal winter brews like the Sam Adams Winter Lager and the Sam Adams Cold Snap (one of my favorites), I guess Sam Adams has more seasonal beers for the holidays with the Samuel Adams Winter Classics Beer Collection. It comes with 5 different beers (the 6th beer is just the regular Samuel Adams Boston Lager that you can get anywhere) only available during this time of year. I must admit that the Chocolate Bock and Ginger Beer sound quite intriguing and I'm curious to taste those. As you can see, the 5 new beers have a certain Christmas-y theme to them. It's almost as if they put the holidays in a bottle with the Samuel Adams Winter Classics Beer Collection.

By now everyone has seen those commercials for Kona beer featuring those 2 Hawaiians guys drinking some beer on the beach. I must admit that seeing that commercial reminds me of being in Hawaii: soaking in the sun, enjoying the weather, and just having a good time. Now you may not be in Hawaii, but you can definitely have a little Hawaii even here on the mainland with a 24 pack of Kona Brewing Company Longboard Island Lager beer. Sipping on a cold one of these will definitely bring back fond memories of vacation, luau, sun, beach, surf, and everything else good about Hawaii. As an aside, I particularly like the Wailua Wheat from Kona since I'm into hefeweizens (wheat beers) and it's even liliquoi (passion fruit) flavored, but that's only available in Hawaii and not on the mainland. For most people being in Hawaii is a rare occasion, but feeling Hawaii is very attainable with a can of Kona Longboard Island Lager and just a fraction of the cost too!

The problem of keeping liquids hot or cold, while on the go, has been around since before I can remember. Perhaps the Reduce 64 oz Stainless Steel Growler will be the answer to this ongoing issue. I’m particularly interested in whether this container can indeed retain the carbonation in beer and soda. Heineken Draught Beer 5 Liter Keg

This is probably one of my favorite items at Costco. Behold the Heineken 5 liter keg (or also known as the Heinekeg). If you love that famous Dutch beer Heineken, then you'll love drinking it from this little keg. Why? Because the beer that comes out of this keg tastes waaaaay better than if you bought Heineken from a bottle or can. I really don't know why that is, but it's almost as if you're drinking beer from the tap at a bar which we all know is better than bottled beer. This Heinekeg comes in handy especially if you're hosting a party with many guests. Not only will they be drinking better tasting beer, but it's more cost-effective than buying several six packs of Heineken from the grocery store. This 5 liter keg probably costs as much as getting 2 6-packs, but comes with way more beer by volume. I've seen the Heinekeg at grocery stores and BevMo, but if you get it at Costco, it'll come out a bit cheaper by like $3 -$4. Just get several of these mini kegs for a party, and you and your guests will be all set. Just don't forget to have plenty of salty snacks to munch on while drinking this beer! If you're into German beers, then consider the Hofbrau Munchen Oktoberfest Mini Keg.
