Just bought a Synergy sofa sleeper from Costco yesterday. It smells AWFUL!! It’s the white stuffing in the cushions and throw pillows - just saturated with whatever chemical(s) they used. I’m airing it out now. I’ll give it a few days - otherwise it’s going back. I did email Synergy so I’m waiting to hear from them still. I bought a pair of leggings from Walmart a few years ago - same gross smell ;(
Thank you @Kristy for sharing your experience thus far with your Synergy Sofa Sleeper from Costco. I wonder what chemicals they use in the sofa that is causing this smell. Hopefully airing it out takes care of the problem. Let us know how it goes and how Synergy responds to this issue

Good morning! Yes, the smell will subside – it typically takes about a week for the smell to dissipate.
If you are able to blow a fan or ceiling fan on the sofa, that will expedite the process.

It’s kind of sad that you pay good money for something and can’t use it right out of the box - from now on, I think I’ll buy good quality used furniture 😕
