If you live in California, then you'll know how important conserving water is. Seriously, we just this year bought and installed this toilet. I wish I could upload a video of this toilet flushing, because, no word of exaggeration, it literally takes 45 60 seconds to stop running when just the "small" flush button is pressed. Not just that, but it is EXTREMELY loud. So loud, in fact, that if the door is not shut the entire time, it will wake my spouse. This just can't be right. Please help.

Hello @Anonymous, 45 to 60 seconds for your WaterRidge One-Piece Dual Flush Toilet to stop running seems about normal for most toilets, but I'm no toilet expert. However, I must say though that a really loud toilet is rather odd unless it's a toilet in an office building or something where they're like jet engines when they flush.

There's not a lot of information online about this toilet. I went ahead a bought one anyway a few weeks ago and got around to installing it a few days ago.

Installation will be a bit rough if you've never installed a toilet before, as the included instructions are not very descriptive nor are they helpful. Just watch a few instruction videos on Youtube before going ahead and installing this toilet. The instructions for bolting the toilet to the closet flange aren't very clear; use this image as a guide: http://i.imgur.com/lLWNowt.jpg MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE TOILET TO THE FLANGE. If you do, you can crack the porcelain and ruin the toilet.

The toilet works great. It has yet to clog up from solid waste. However, you may need to flush twice if you tend to use more toilet tissue than the average person. The 1.1 gallon flush (for liquid waste) is very brief, you may notice the water is still slightly discolored after flushing. To combat this, hold the button down for an extra half second for additional water.

I'm very satisfied with my purchase. Hopefully this review can help someone else who's on the fence about buying this toilet. For ~$90, you can't beat it!

To the commenter who is reporting 45-60 second refill time; try replacing your toilet water connector if you haven't already; it could be clogged with hard water deposits. I have good water pressure; it takes about 15-20 seconds for my Water Ridge dual flush toilet to refill, and it's very quiet.

Hello @Regmaster Zero, you must be quite handy or a good DIYer around the house, but thank you for sharing your thoughts on the WaterRidge One-Piece Dual Flush Toilet. I'm sure people considering this toilet or those who already bought this toilet and need to install it will find this information quite useful. And also thanks for the tip on letting it flush a second longer for the 1.1 gallon flush to ensure a fresh toilet for the next person.

Hello @Anonymous, sorry to hear that your WaterRidge One-Piece Dual Flush Toilet just isn't working out for you. The fact that it uses a lot of water sucks since it's a waste of water and money.

2 of these 1 piece toi9lets have worked well for us the past year.

Hi @Unknown, that's great to hear that both WaterRidge One-Piece Dual Flush Toilets that you have in your home are working out well for you and your family.

I have two of these - Model C22148C from owners manual. I bought the display as they are now discontinued at Costco (drove across town to another Costco to get the second). Both toilets are excellent! I don't understand the long running comment because they refill in 10 to 15 seconds at my house. Maybe he has a water pressure issue. The larger than normal hole in the toilet removes large waste with easy. I have read that you should avoid putting any chemical or blue release tabs in any tank, as this can degrade seals, valves. The written warranty is 5 years, but I like the design so much I hope I get 20 years out of them. Hard water is also hard on valves.

Hello @Richard, thank you for your review in regards to the WaterRidge One-Piece Dual Flush Toilets. I'm glad that both WaterRidge One-Piece Dual Flush Toilets that you have are working well for you and your home. That's actually really good that it only takes 10-15 seconds for the water to refill after flushing. Most toilets are never that fast. At least mine aren't.

I bought one of theses one piece dual flush toilets and LOVE IT! The only thing that bothers me it that it hums really loud when refilling. Can anyone tell me Why? And is there a fix for the humming? Thank you for your help.

Hi @Unknown, that's great that the WaterRidge One-Piece Dual Flush Toilet is working out for you. I'm not sure why it hums really loud after being flushed, but maybe that might be normal for this particular model.

We bought half-a-dozen including one for the church that lets us use their facilities for homeowners association meetings. We like the one-piece because it is easier to clean but is a little heavier to install squarely on the floor bolts due to the extra weight. We suggest not using the two-piece model and have someone else install the one-piece if you're not strong enough.

And we recommend NEOPERL.com Bubble Stream-brand faucet are other WaterSense-certified conservation products that meet EPA standards.

You will quickly save your investment. Thank you, COSTCO.

Beware that toilet bowl keep-clean tablets sold by COSTCO can ruin the plastic valve.

Watch as we develop our URL for observations on living in a homeowners association (HOA) including water conservation and other economical alternatives.

Before I buy, I need to know the dimension for the bolt holes to the wall. My existing toilet is 12 inches approx. and I have tile floors, so moving/the bolts to a new location could pose a problem. Thanks for any info you can give me.

The WaterRidge One-Piece Dual Flush Toilet is a great product! A similar product on Amazon and by well know companies cost $385.00-$450.00. I called Water Ridge Customer Care (1.866.789-2273) and spoke to a representative immediately. They told me these toilets have a 5 year warranty. I ask and got several extra parts just to have on hand at no charge. Part are not hard to get. The toilets I have are very quiet and fill quickly. High flush fills within 15 seconds. Low flush fills within 10 seconds. I have had two of the Costco WaterRidge toilets for three months and plan to replace my other two toilets with them. Great value and a real hidden Costco jewel.

Thanks @Mike for your sharing some feedback on your WaterRidge Dual Flush Toilet. It's good to hear that you're happy with it and didn't even have to spend more on a brand name toilet. It sounds like WaterRidge has a pretty good customer service since they were able to provide you with some spare parts for free. I hope that these toilets will last you and your household a very long time.

I have one that has been in use for about 1.5 years and was very happy. It is in a second bathroom so it has not had that much use. Just recently we heard a slight whistle sound from the water running and I called Waterridge and they said the fill valve was defective and sent me a new one. Received that in 3 days! No instructions. The replacement leaked more than the original. Bought a Fluidmaster fill valve and now I can ascertain it is the flushing mechanism that leaks about a half inch every 3 minutes. Need help! Will call Waterridge early Monday morning.

ExecMemberMike said...

Thanks @RonS for sharing your experience with the WaterRidge Dual Flush Toilet. That's just terrible that the flushing mechanism is leaking. Hopefully the manufacturer can help you get the issue resolved. Please let us know how it turned out.

Is this standard height?

ExecMemberMike said...

Hello @Unknown, I'm not sure if the WaterRidge Dual Flush Toilet is a standard height. I didn't see the dimensions on the box. What would be considered standard height for a toilet anyway?

Unknown said...

Hey, Weekender, if you insist on inserting yourself into the conversation between every post, then you might do your best to answer simple questions with helpful knowledgeable answers - otherwise, what's the point. Chair Height toilets, aka ADA-compliant toilets are 17 to 19 inches from floor to seat. The height of a standard toilet is about 15 inches from floor to seat.
This toilet is chair height. That's what the wheelchair symbol on the box indicates.

I have bought at least 12 of these toilets over the last 3 years and installed them in my personal house and my rental properties. They work great and hold up to the hardwearing usage with college students. Good luck with yours

The flush valve on these toilets are a known problem- they leak after a year or two using a lot of water. These toilets are made in China. Water Ridge does not seem to be doing anything to fix this problem. if you call them they will send a new valve but the valve is the same as the old and it will in a couple of years most likely leak again.
