Power backup is one of those things that you don’t think about unless you’ve gotten burned in the past like I have. I had a network attached storage device running in my home where I kept all my files like pictures and important work files. My home lost power for a few minutes and when the lights came back on, I found out that one of the hard drives got corrupted. Since then, I have set up multiple hard drives to back each other up and installed a battery backup similar to the Cyberpower CST135XLU Battery Backup that I recently found at Costco. With the battery backup, if the power goes out, you can gracefully shutdown any device that is connected. I have my network attached storage and a desktop computer connected to the battery backup. The Cyberpower CST135XLU Battery Backup comes with plenty of outlets, enough for devices in a small office. Five of the outlets can be used for uninterrupted power while the other 5 are just for surge protection. It even comes with 2 USB ports so you can plug your smartphone or tablet for charging. Eventually batteries will need to be replaced and fortunately the CST135XLU comes with replaceable batteries. You will have to see if it’s more cost effective to replace a battery or just buy a whole new unit. So don’t realize that you need a battery backup when it’s already too late. Get the Cyberpower CST135XLU Battery Backup for a little peace of mind.

No AVR! It does not maintain a constant output voltage as the input voltage changes!

Hello @Anonymous, I guess you need one of the more higher models to get the AVR that the Cyberpower CST135XLU Battery Backup does not have.

According to the specs for this product, it does provide AVR.

What voltage settings should you use when setting the "point of transfer" settings under "Voltage"?

The default setting is below 100 volts and above 139 volts. These settings seem pretty extreme. Anyone know the optimum settings for this?
