American Standard Kitchen Waste and Garbage Disposal

[Scroll down to view product info]

I love cooking for my family, but I absolutely hate doing the prep and especially having to clean up. With the American Standard Kitchen Waste and Garbage Disposal unit for the sink, the prep work and clean up gets a little easier for you. You don't have to worry about clogging the sink with food scraps with the 1.25 horse power since it's almost as if there's a jet engine in your sink. It can easily handle the cores from a bell pepper, egg shells, leftover food scraps from a meal, fat trimmings, etc. If you need a garbage disposal or if you live in an older home that doesn't come with one, you could put it in your list of things to do if/when you decide to remodel your kitchen or do a little bit of home improvement or home repair. A garbage disposal is definitely a must have in every kitchen.

Hi @Anonymous, thanks for the feedback! Ya, some people have said that the garbage disposal is a bit loud. Some others don't mind the noise though, so it all just depends I guess.

Just installed mine and runs great. No vibrations or any loud noise as mentioned above. I guess it's definitely a mixed experience amongst those who bought it. But, if anyone comes to me and ask me about my experience, I would definitely recommend they buy it.

Cheap plastic drain. I returned without installing, Quality too low.

Hi @Anonymous, great to hear that the garbage disposer works for you!

@Anonymous, thanks for mentioning that the drain is made of plastic. That's probably one of the reasons why this garbage disposer is not as expensive as others currently on the market.

Tip! If you are having trouble slipping metal holder over rubber gasket you have the rubber piece up to high. Small slit in rubber goes over the very bottom of the collar.

Hi @Anonymous, thank you very much for that valuable tip! This will definitely be useful for those having problems with their American Standard Garbage disposer.

Mine is smooth and whisper quiet. It works great, no complaints.

After 2 years, the motor bearing went out. May not get another one of these.

Hi @Gordon, that's a bummer that the American Standard Kitchen Waste Disposer stopped working after only two years. Hopefully, this is just an isolated incident with your unit and not a common issue with American Standard garbage disposers. I hope your next garbage disposer lasts a lot longer than this one.
