I don't know about you but at my house, we have a bunch of smart devices..iPhones, Android phones/tablet, Chromecast, etc. And keeping them charged is somewhat of a pain since we're always misplacing the chargers. Or we need to charge all the devices at once. This is a common, everyday issues for many people. With the Feit Electric Wall Outlets with USB Ports, this could be less of a problem for your household. Sure, you would still need the USB cable but I'm sure you have plenty of those laying around. You shouldn't wait too long to buy the Feit Electric Wall Outlets if you are like everyone else with several mobile devices. And since the USB delivers 3.4 amps, it will provide enough juice for your phone or tablet and will charge them quickly.

Have you tried these with apple devices? I'd like to be sure I can use these to charge iphones/ipads before I buy them.
Hello @Unknown, I haven't tried charging Apple devices with Feit Electric Wall Outlets with USB Ports. If it doesn't properly charge your iPhone or iPad, you could always just return it to Costco for a full refund. Costco has a good return policy with products that you're not completely satisfied with.
Works fine with my iPhone 7 and both an old iPad 3 and a current iPad.
Thank you @Anonymous for confirming that the Feit Electric Wall Outlets with USB Ports can be used to charge your Apple devices. Those with a variety of Apple products will definitely find this information quite helpful.
It says "Compatible with USB 2.0 devices" so I assume it is not capable of output at the USB strength. Our smartphones use USB 3 to charge faster so I assume these wall outlets won't charge at the faster rate. I have a Harmony remote that won't charge at the lower amps and I have a HP Touchpad also like that. I just have to remember to not even try to charge them with these. I have an Anker power adapter that is capable of USB 3 and good power adapters like that cost a little more since they need circuitry that adapts to the amount of power actually being used. My mother bought this product but I explained to her that it is not as good as the power adapters I bought.
Hi @Sam, thanks for providing some good feedback in regards to the Feit Electric Wall Outlets with USB Ports. It kind of goes to show that not all USB ports are created equal.
Are the outlets rated for 15 or 20 amps?
You must assume 15 due to the lack of the horizontal neutral blade slot. ALSO note this IS NOT UL Approved!
Hello this is Feit Electric. We wanted to clarify that our USB outlets are USB 2.0 & 3.0 compatible and have a total combined charging capacity of up to 3.4 amps combined to deliver the quickest possible charge to your device. Cell phones typically draw slightly more than 1 amp and a larger device, such as an iPad, can draw slightly more than 2 amps. So when charged simultaneously in this way, the total available power can be up to 3.4 amps and you can charge Apple, Android, tablets, smartphones and more at maximum speed.
In addition, we wanted to assure readers the product is UL approved for use per all certification requirements. The product is clearly marked accordingly. We can be reached at info@feit.com if we can clarify any further questions.
So.....are the outlets rated 15 or 20 amps?
Based on the photo of the front of these outlets, they cannot be 20 amp because a NEMA 5-20P plug requires an outlet with a hole that will except the (neutral) flat blade turned 90 degrees (ie ... horizontal). Just google ..... "electric outlet 20 amp" ... and you'll see this.
My electrical outlets have four wires(2 brown and two beige) and a ground. These only have a place for two wires and a ground. your installation instructions do not address this situation. How do I wire it with four wires?
@Anonymous. There is room for four wires plus ground. There is a single screw on each side, each screw can accept two wires so there is room for two HOT wires and two NEUTRAL wires and the ground is on the bottom.
Loosen the NEUTRAL screw, slide the NEUTRAL wires under the plate, one in the high slot, the other in the low slot, then tighten down the screw. Repeat for the HOT wires.
The product is clearly marked accordingly. Where is it on the package? I can't find it.!! NO "UL" label.!!
Just bought your USB 4.8 Amp. wall outlets. My question is how did you get them past UL?
The screws on the side can't hold the #12 solid wire in the back of the plug. If you turn the outlet over to screw in the wire on the other side the first wire will twist out. Still, I put it in the wall box that I had taken the 20 amp outlet out of. After plugging in the small transformer to power my phone, I saw that the unit was not staying snug in the outlet. Was to easy to fall out as the tongs were not strong enough to hold it. So I pulled it out and put back in the 10 yr old 20 Amp outlet that was in there before. I know this came from China but I would have thought Feit Elictric would have put out a unit better than this.
