For those who insist on placing their brand new flat screen on top of the fireplace, although it's a space-saver, they should know that the TV ends up being mounted too high. You end up getting a stiff neck as you're sitting on the couch, while watching the Walking Dead marathon. For those that still want a TV on top of the fireplace comes the Tresanti ChimneyFree Infrared Fireplace and Media Mantel at Costco. The fireplace portion of the cabinet is low enough to the ground that the top of the media cabinet isn't too high for a TV to sit on. You also get a door on either side of the cabinet to hide accessories, cables, DVDs, etc. And who likes to clean out the ashes in a fireplace? I sure don't so having an infrared fireplace makes sense for lazy people like me. So if space is a concern for you and you need a heater in your room combines with a media cabinet, then consider the Tresanti ChimneyFree Infrared Fireplace and Media Mantel.

HOW MUCH ASSEMBLY FOR TV FIREPLACE BY TRESANTI

ExecMemberMike said...

Hello @Anonymous, the box for the Tresanti 74" Fireplace Console indicates that "Some Assembly Required". That probably means that it's not going to be as extensive and difficult as putting together a piece of furniture from Ikea.

Does anyone know the model number or where to find a copy of the owner's manual?

I bought one and its beautiful...looks a a $1500 console. My husband put brick tile inside that matches the accent wall behind the console and it really made the flames look even greater. Thanks for the info.

Hi @Irene, I'm glad that you and your husband are loving the Tresanti ChimneyFree Infrared Fireplace and Media Console that you bought. That's a pretty good idea to line the inside of the fireplace with bricks. It definitely gives your living area a more rustic charm.

Why is this not on Costco.com?

ExecMemberMike said...

Hello @Unknown, that's a very good question which I don't have the answer to. For some odd reason, the Tresanti ChimneyFree Infrared Fireplace and Media Console along with many other items are not available online even though they're being sold at Costco warehouses (and vice-versa). You would think that availability would be consistent whether online on the Costco website or at a physical location.

Where can I buy this?

Lee Marks said...

Call your local Costco and ask when they will get them in. Then be at the door--these sell fast.

@Grandma_and_Grandpa_Rogge, @Lee_Marks said it best. You'll just have to call around to see if a particular Costco warehouse has the Tresanti ChimneyFree Infrared Fireplace and Media Console in stock. Availability varies per Costco location, so definitely keep an eye out for it.
