You'll always need a good set of work gloves, so you might as well get 12 pairs of Wells Lamont Men's Nitrile Work Gloves from Costco. Why do you need so many? Well, you'll need a few pairs for around your home and maybe at your job site if you normally work at a contruction or any other industrial site like a warehouse. These gloves would be great when you work in your backyard garden or like to work on your car in the garage. I know some people like to take on a lot of do-it-yourself type projects like building small furniture or painting a wall. You can leave a pair in your car and definitely keep these gloves in your emergency bag. You could even use these when you go camping. With so many uses, you won't regret getting these versatile gloves even if it comes in a set of 12 pairs.

I bought these (Item No. 974173) to use when paddling my inflatable kayak, partly for grip and partly to protect against rubbing skin against the sides of my kayak while paddling. The gloves worked fine just after I bought them. Unfortunately, after a few months of storage in the house at room temperature and kept dry, all of them went hard and brittle. I can't even get my hand into a glove, since it won't flex enough even to fit around my fingers after being stored flat. If I flex the fingers of the gloves, they will snap (break). All the gloves still in the box are just as hard and mostly stuck together.
I will never buy this product again. I got one use out of one pair. How can that be a bargain? I plan to use jersey gloves next summer. Since I wear the gloves mostly against rubbing my bare skin on the sides of the kayak, I expect the jersey gloves will serve my purpose. I don't need to worry about getting wet. That comes with the activity.
Hello @Lynn_Dubya, thanks for sharing your experience with Wells Lamont Men's Nitrile Work Gloves. Although these gloves are water repellent, they probably weren't necessarily designed for a water sport like kayaking where they're bound to be soaked.
