Dyson always seems to reinvent normal, everyday products into something more efficient and cooler than what else is out there. The same can be said of the Dyson AM08 Pedestal Fan. Pedestal fans have been around for decades and their overall design has stayed the same until Dyson came along. It was hard for me to grasp the notion of a fan without spinning blades. But that's exactly what Dyson created...no spinning blades which makes the Dyson AM08 Pedestal Fan safe which is great if you have kids running around. One of the biggest complaints I have with standard fans is the dust that collects on the blades and the grill. Well, without either one of those, the Dyson AM08 Pedestal Fan is much easier to clean and you don't have to worry about dust being blown into your face. I also like the fact that the Dyson AM08 Pedestal Fan provides power airflow yet it is quieter than standard fans.
