These are under recall and their return policy stinks!

Hello @Sandra, I didn't realize that the 3 Squares Tim3 Machin3 Rice Cooker is under recall. Thanks for mentioning it. I'm not sure about the manufacturer's return policy, but Costco's return policy is actually pretty good. You could return pretty much anything at Costco.

We sent In the recall plug as requested in November 2016 and after many emails and excuses we are still without a rice cooker today,we really would like to have some rice !!!!!

Hi @Anonymous, thanks for sharing your experience with the 3 Squares Tim3 Machin3 Rice Cooker and its corresponding recall. Ya I can understand your frustration since I eat rice at least once or twice a week. Hopefully the manufacturer hasn't forgotten about you and everyone else that has one of these rice cookers.

You may be hopeful but I am no longer. I sent the severed cord and adhesive label back to the manufacturer as instructed in October 2016. Received an email reply saying a new cooker would be sent to me in 4 to 6 weeks. Now it is 9 months later and still nothing has been sent. 3squsres is no longer responding to inquiries or emails. It's just a huge scam.

Hello @nyenye2, 9 months is far too long for a replacement cord. It looks like 3 Squares needs a call from the Better Business Bureau in regards to the recall for its Tim3 Machin3 Rice Cooker.

Yes there is a recall. I filled out the required forms for the recall back in October 2016. You have to pull the manufacturer sticker from the unit and cut off the power cord and send it back to the manufacturer. It is now July 2017 and I still do not have a replacement unit. I have contacted the company through several emails with the same reply that more units are on the way and should arrive in about 4 weeks. Still have not received my replacement. I have contacted Costco customer service and they claim they are aware of this problem and are working to try and resolve this issue. All I can do is wait

Thanks @Anonymous for letting us know what you went through and the process involved in regards to the recall for your Tim3 Machin3 Rice Cooker. I really hope the manufacturer takes care of those who bought this rice cooker sooner rather than later.

Adding my name to the list. I cut off the cord disabling the machine and complied with the recall. They acknowledge it. Then, nothing. No replacement, no email response.
CostCo would do well to better vet their suppliers. I hope to never see another product from them on a
Costco shelf.

Hi @John, so much for the manufacturer's customer service when it comes to the 3 Squares Tim3 Machin3 Rice Cooker. It looks as though their customer support will only go as far as what to do if you have one of their products under recall (ie cutting the power cord) just to cover themselves legally and to not be liable if anything should occur as a result of the product defect. Unfortunately, it ends there and there's no resolution like a refund or replacement unit.

I sent in the form and cord immediately and tonight went searching on the web for some answers as 3 Square customer service no longer replies to me. I'm glad I found these posting to know that I'm not the only frustrated customer that is still waiting.

Ya, there appear to be a lot of people in the same boat as you @Anonymous in regards to the 3 Squares Tim3 Machin3 Rice Cooker. I'm thinking that the manufacturer has forgotten about those consumers with this rice cooker.

I took my replacement machine back to COSTCO and they gave me a full refund. I suggest you do the same if you still have your appliance.

ExecMemberMike said...

Thanks @Jennifer for letting us know that you just returned your 3 Squares Tim3 Machin3 Rice Cooker straight to Costco. It's probably better just to go that route if you still can since it seems like the manufacturer is impossible to deal with at this point.

858-344-9958 is the cellphone for Todd Rogers the owner of Sherwood Marketing the company who makes the Tim3 Machin3. Bombard him with calls and texts until you get a reply. I've been waiting for 14 months as well for the replacement Tim3 Machin3.

ExecMemberMike said...

Hello @Unknown, hopefully Todd Rogers gets the message and does all those affected by the Tim3 Machin3 recall good.

Just found out the company went out of business and will not be honoring the recall. So we are all out the money and unit...

ExecMemberMike said...

Thanks for the update, @Katie. It really is no surprise that the company closed shop given the issues many people were having with their 3 Squares Tim3 Machin3 Rice Cookers. I guess that's a good way of avoiding having to pay for the recall.
