Universal Studios Hollywood Annual Season Pass (2016)

[Scroll down to view product info]

I've always loved going to theme parks as a child, and now my kids love going too. With the 2016 Universal Studios Hollywood Season Pass, I can take my family to one of my favorite amusement parks. They'll love it and I can feel like a kid again. You can enjoy all new rides like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Fast & Furious - Supercharged, or Despicable Me Minion Mayhem which weren't around when I was a child. They had rides like Jaws and King Kong when I was younger, but my personal favorite was the back lot tour. With the 2016 Universal Studios season pass, you can save up to 30% than if you bought single day tickets. The Universal Studios Hollywood annual pass pays for itself after only a few visits, so might as well get one of these if you intend to go multiple times. Do yourself a favor and get the 2016 Universal Studios season pass if you want to save yourself some serious cash.

This is a rip off! I purchased year passes last year and definitely got my moneys worth. Thought i buy again this year and after purchasing come to find out that all the weekends are blocked through the year! That means you would have to pull your children from school to be able to take another trip to the park. Oh and lets not forget the every other friday available, they close at 6pm! I definitely feel i did NOT get my $'s worth x's 6!!!!

Hello @Minia, sorry to hear that the Universal Studios Hollywood 2016 Season Pass comes with a lot of blackout dates. Ya, it's kind of pointless if you can't make it on any of the non-blackout dates; otherwise, it'd be totally worth it if you can at least go 2 or 3 times.

I hate this offer after looking at Blackout dates. ALl weekends and most of the days on some months are blocked. Whats the point. Sad I saw it after purchasing. Didnt know costco/ USH would do this trap for regular yearly members.

Hello @SriV, yes the 2016 Universal Studios Hollywood season pass definitely has a lot of blackout dates that limits use of it substantially. It's apparent that this ploy is just a way for Universal Studios to make more money from us.

Fuck this pass

Hello @Unknown, it sounds like this 2016 Universal Studios Hollywood season pass just isn't for you. You may want to check out Disneyland, the happiest place on earth, instead.

I am not a costco member, can I buy this season pass?
how to buy it? online or on the spot?
Thank you.

Hello @Anonymous, in general you have to have a Costco membership in order to buy products from Costco. However, there is a way around this, so that you can still buy the 2016 Universal Studio Hollywood season pass even if you're a non-member. What you do is get a friend who has a Costco membership to buy you a Costco cash card with a certain amount of money loaded into it. Only Costco members can purchase and reload these Costco cash cards, but both Costco members and non-members alike can then use this cash card to shop at Costco. You can not only purchase the Universal Studios Hollywood season pass, but other Costco products as well using the Costco cash card. Costco definitely allows non-members to use this cash card, so you don't have to worry about breaking the rules or anything. I hope this helps.

We bought the tickets and we just noticed the first use date was on May 23 and were not going until June...does that mean we just waited $500...

Hello @Anonymous, according to the terms and conditions for the 2016 Universal Studios season pass that I saw at Costco, you must use it by May 23 for your first visit. You should check to see if the Universal Studios Hollywood season pass that you purchased is the same exact one that I saw at Costco in terms of the fine print. That or maybe you can call the Universal Studios customer service and explain to them your situation, and, hopefully, they can do something about it. If all else fails, you could always try to ask for a refund from Costco and let them know that you were unable to use the pass that you bought. These are just suggestions that may or may not work. I really hope Universal Studios or Costco can do something for you. Good luck!

Hi! I was wondering if these passes come with the in-park discount like the ones on the Universal website? I've already bought mine but it's hard to find any real information about the perks. I'll be disappointed if we don't get the discount, but I'll still be happy overall because it is a great deal. I don't think the people commenting about the blackout dates realize that the passes you buy directly from Universal have just as many blackout dates but cost a lot more. Thanks for your help!!

Hi @Unknown, I don't think the 2016 Universal Studios Hollywood season pass from Costco comes with discounts for food and merchandise inside the park. It'd be great if it did though, but it doesn't surprise me since they'll always find a way to make even more money from us.

Can I still have it at Costco?
Seems like is out of stock...

Hello @Anonymous, Costco probably no longer sells the 2016 Universal Studios Hollywood season pass because if you read the fine print, it indicates that it has to be activated by May 23, 2016. There probably isn't very many days left this season in which you can use this pass anyway due to all the blackout dates.

I was very disappointed that Costco didn't look out for its member a bit better then this. One of the worst offers ever, and come to find out if you buy it in May you don't get the annual time they expired on February 28 . This is a rip off not only from universal but from Costco too is like they stop caring for there member. Makes me wonder where else they cutting coners at.

Hello @Alex, ya there have been a lot of complaints regarding the Universal Studios Hollywood season pass from Costco. You're right in that it's a pretty bad offer since it's not very practical for most people unfortunately. It's very unlike Costco to have an offer like this available for its members.
