I like finding high-priced ticket items, like the LG LFXS30766S 30 Cu Ft French Door Refrigerator, and since it’s at Costco, for a fraction of the cost compared to what’s available online. I’ve seen this refrigerator online for well over $3000 so getting it at Costco for under $2600 is a steal. This is not your grandmother’s top-freezer-style refrigerator where you need to crouch down just to get to things that you use all the time. This French-door-style is very modern, functional, and a great use of space. I especially like the in-door ice maker which saves a lot of space for what’s important, your food. The door-in-door design is pretty unique too, haven’t seen that one very often. Just open the right-side outer door and gain access to frequently-used items that you’ve placed in the door…very cool. Since the freezer is at the bottom, storing your frozen chicken and steaks is much easier compared to a side-by-side refrigerator where an overstuffed freezer could result in food falling out whenever you open the door. Ever tried to keep an extra large pizza box in a side-by-side refrigerator? That won’t be a problem with the French design of the LG LFXS30766S refrigerator.

Getting toilet paper at Costco is smart because it's something that you can stock up on and you know you'll be using it sooner or later. You definitely don't want to run out of toilet paper. You want to avoid that scenario at all costs. Toilet paper is probably the most practical thing you can get at Costco, and I always seem to pick up a pack every time I go on a Costco run. You know you'll use it, so you might as well stock up on it now.

[update Feb. 29, 2020] With more reports of coronavirus (COVID-19) spreading even here in the US, toilet paper has become an even more popular item for many Costco Weekenders. Toilet paper is one of those items that you would want to stock up on because you may have to self-quarantine in your home and/or avoid people for days at a time. I saw the Stein World Medford Hand-Painted Accent Chest online at other retailers for over $600! At Costco, the same one is for a more reasonable $300. This one is a more unique piece, with its aged blue finish and cottage-feel style, compared to the other pieces of furniture found at Costco which are more of the brown finish and classical look. But the Stein World Medford Accent Chest is still a beautiful accent chest, perfect for some living rooms. The chest is hand-painted and its wood tone top adds to the warm, cottage feel. The color may make Stein World Medford Hand-Painted Accent Chest a bit difficult to match with my existing furniture but it will definitely stand out and one would think that it is quite a unique piece.

When I was a kid, my favorite cereal was Frosted Flakes. It's kind of like having a bowl of sugar for breakfast every morning. Nowadays, when you go to the grocery store, there's a whole aisle dedicated to just cereal. The selection of cereals you can choose from has just gotten out of hand, but I can tell you that choosing my "go to" cereal as an adult wasn't too difficult once I came across Post Honey Bunches of Oats. A box of Honey Bunches of Oats cereal is one of those items at Costco that I buy during every visit. Why? Because I eat at least one bowl a day, so I go through it quickly. That and a box of cereal half the size of Costco at the grocery store can cost around $5. Getting Honey Bunches of Oats cereal at Costco is more cost-effective since you get double the amount for just a dollar or so more. If you're not aware, the box of Honey Bunches of Oats at Costco contains 2 bags of cereal. That way the entire bag doesn't go stale if it were just 1 big bag. With 2 bags of cereal, the 2nd bag can remain sealed while you go through and eat the 1st bag. Depending on your local Costco, there may be different flavors of Honey Bunches of Oats also available (I've seen the Honey flavor at Costco). My mom (who is 70+ years old and is type II diabetic) especially likes it because it does not contain a whole lot of carbohydrates compared to other "healthy" cereals. For a healthy cereal, Honey Bunches of Oats actually tastes good too, and that's why I can eat a bowl a day and you should too. After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
