CAcafe Coconut Coffee

[Scroll down to view product info]

As mentioned in my earlier post, every time I go to Hawaii for vacation, I like getting some Hawaiian coffee to take back with me to share with family and friends in addition to the chocolate covered macadamia nuts. One of the coffees I like getting is CAcafe Coconut Coffee. It's kind of weird since CAcafe Coconut Coffee is actually from California, but I haven't seen it in any of the Costcos here on the mainland. I can only find it in the Costco in Hawaii. How odd is that? With coconut water being the latest craze, well why not a little bit of coconut in your morning coffee? I really like the coconut flavor of CAcafe Coconut Coffee. I know some people dislike coconut, but I for one love it. I would never think that it'd go well in coffee, but it certainly does. It gives you a nice tropical taste in your morning coffee. That and it kind of replaces the need for milk or cream (or even sugar) in your coffee. This may be a good alternative for you if you're lactose intolerant or can't have dairy in your diet. Unfortunately, I don't think the CAcafe Coconut Coffee comes in a single serving cup form like what you would get in a Nespresso or Keurig coffee machine, but if you see this at Costco, give it a try. You'll be surprised by how unconventional and different, yet good it is. If a hint of coconut in your coffee just isn't for you then other Hawaiian coffees include Kauai Coffee Company, Royal Kona Coffee Company, and Maui Coffee Roasters.

[Update Nov. 8, 2015: CAcafe Coconut Coffee is back and was just spotted in the Costco in Redwood City, CA]

Hi! I love it, too! It's a little too sweet, but I just add a little instant coffee to balance it out. And I just wanted to let you know, I just bought one of the 19 oz jars at my CostCo in Lakewood, CA!

Hello @Joy, thanks for letting us know that the CAcafe Coconut Coffee is available at the Costco in Lakewood, CA. Ya, I can definitely see this coffee being too sweet for some people that there's no need to add sugar anymore, but that's a pretty good idea to add a little bit of instant coffee to make it less sweet. I'm going to have to have try that sometime. Thanks for the tip!

It was available until just a few weeks ago at the Costco on Camino Real in South San Francisco. When I saw just three lonely jars on the shelf, I bought the last of it. I hope they get more in stock and start carrying it regularly!

ExecMemberMike said...

Thanks @Dave for letting me know that you saw the CAcafe Coconut Coffee at the South San Francisco Costco! I'll have to keep an eye out anytime I'm in that Costco which isn't too far from me. Ya I also hope that Costco will carry it regularly and that it's not just a seasonal product.

the Costco in Sheridan Colorado discontinued the product, do you know of anywhere in the Denver area it's available??

ExecMemberMike said...

Hi @Anonymous, that's a bummer that your local Costco stopped carrying this product. Unfortunately I don't know of any Costco locations in the Denver area that have the CAcafe Coconut Coffee available. As mentioned in my post, I had to cross the Pacific Ocean just to find a canister of this coffee at the Costco in Maui, HI. If you look at the other comments, others have posted which Costco they found this coffee at, but none of it is in the Denver area. It seems like CAcafe Coconut Coffee is a seasonal product and that's why Costco doesn't have it readily available. Hopefully, that'll change.

Hi did you find this back in July. Or recently?

ExecMemberMike said...

Hi @Unknown, I saw CAcafe Coconut Coffee at Costco back in mid June. It seemed like a lot of Costcos were carrying this coffee around that time which leads me to believe that it may be a seasonal product.

Anna R said...

It's in most costcos now - I'm in Colorado and can get it here! The CaCafe website shows which locations have it.

ExecMemberMike said...

That's wonderful news @anna! I'm sure a lot of people in the Colorado area have been waiting to get their hands on a few canisters of CAcafe Coconut Coffee and are glad to know that it's now readily available at Costco. Thanks for giving us the heads up!

Hi @Debbie, thanks for letting us know that you can get CAcafe Coconut Coffee in the Costcos in the Colorado Springs, CO area. I hope you enjoy your coffee!

Where can I find it in temecula?

ExecMemberMike said...

Hello @Madison, you can try finding CAcafe Coconut Coffee at your nearest Costco. Costco usually has this in stock for a certain amount of time before removing it from its shelves. If they're out of stock, then you'll have to wait a few months before you get to see it again. So definitely keep an eye out for it when it does reappear at Costco.

karenti said...

DOes Costco plan to carry at all location? It is spotty in Southern California, some costco's have not heard of it?

karenti said...

Will costco also carry the no sugar added variety of coconut coffee?

ExecMemberMike said...

Hello @karenti, you probably can't find CAcafe Coconut Cofee at your local Costco because it's a seasonal product. I saw it during summer (June) and fall (November). In general Costco sells a certain product for only a few months at a time before removing them from the sales. This may be the case for this coffee. Don't worry though because I'm sure CAcafe Coconut Coffee will be available again soon enough, so definitely keep an eye out on it. I highly doubt, though, that Costco will carry the sugar free variety of CAcafe Coconut Coffee. Costco likes to intentionally limit the different varieties/brands of a certain type of product (like only 1 or 2 kinds of canned tomatoes or 1 or 2 kinds of paper towels) it has in stock in order to make it easier for customers.

This is the best coffee I've ever had. I bought last week here in Georgia and I'm already out. First time I've never had heartburn drinking a cup!

Hello @jahansjewels, I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the CAcafe Coconut Coffee. That's quite interesting that it's the only coffee that doesn't give you heartburn. Since you love it so much, I suggest you stock up on it the next time you make a Costco run. Costco doesn't always carry CAcafe Coconut Coffee all the time. It might be smart to buy several canisters of it while they have it in stock.

I've checked 3 Costcos in northern NJ. None of them have it anymore I'm trying not to panic but this coffee is so amazing and I can no longer find it in any store in my area. If any of you have an update, I would greatly appreciate it. I'd order from the company but their shipping fees are expensive. I'd love to find the sugar free one too..

Unknown said...

Just bought mine. Yes they stated that this is a season product for Costco. Purchased on San Jose, CA Senter Rd Store. :) Love it!

ExecMemberMike said...

Hi @Patricia, it seems like the CAcafe Coconut Coffee is quite popular even in your neck of the woods. I guess the next time you see it at Costco, you should stock up on it and get several cans of it. I'm not sure how much the shipping costs are when you buy it straight from the company or another retailer like Amazon, but it may not be too expensive per can if you end up buying several canisters at once in one shipment. If you buy, say, ten cans, maybe the shipping and handling costs will only add up to being a dollar or two more per canister which may not be too expensive when you think of it that way. It's definitely something to consider if you really want CAcafe Coconut Coffee and can't find it anywhere around.

Hello @Unknown, thanks for letting us know that CAcafe Coconut Coffee is available at the San Jose, CA Costco warehouse on Senter Road. People in the Bay Area who are looking for their coconut coffee caffeine fix will definitely appreciate this info. Perhaps I should swing by there and get a few cans myself since I work pretty close by in Santa Clara. I could always go for a Costco run during my lunch break.

Kind of high in sugar though with 19g but sounds tasty!

ExecMemberMike said...

Hi @Unknown, I guess all that sugar is what makes CAcafe Coconut Coffee taste so good.
