Eurow Neattrax Indoor Floor Mat (23.5" x 36")

[Scroll down to view product info]

I try to keep the floors and carpets in our household as clean as possible. We generally don't wear shoes while indoors. However, we do have a dog and I don't think she understands it when we tell her to wipe her feet when she enters the house. However, these Eurow Neattrax Floor Mats helps take care of the dirt from the outside that she drags in. The floor mats don't remove all the dirt from my dog's paws, but it does help at least some of it. We have three of these floor mats: 1 for the front door, 1 for the door leading to the backyard, and 1 for the door leading to the garage. The bottom of these mats are non-slip which prevents it from sliding and potentially harming someone as they're stepping on or off it. That and these rugs are inexpensive and are easily replaceable as well. So whether you have pets or whether you allow shoes to be worn around the house, these inexpensive mats will go a long way in keeping the rest of the house spic and span.

SMOKESCREEEN LABELING - I bought three of them and immediately began the process of vacuuming the lint out per the instructions on the wrapping's instructions.

Once opened, I read the sticky instructions on the carpet knap prior to removing it - no problem. However, it said "... care instructions attached to mat..."

Nicely hidden is a fact that was certainly not clear, and possibly a ploy to make one buy the product prior to knowing the rest of the story - which is...

On the "care instructions attached" little sewn-in tab, it states: HAND (my caps) wash separately in COLD (their caps) water.

In other words, the outer packaging/label is very deceiving. One must fully remove the label in order to see the inner sticky-instructions. Only then, one finds one must fully unroll the product to see that the implied machine laundering is, like machine drying (which is stated on the outside packaging/label), NOT allowed.

I'm taking two of my three back - with slightly damaged packaging/labeling and one sample sticky inside label that only has a slight amount of garbage on it due to my happily opening the package/labels and tossing the sticky thing before looking at the "care instructions attached."

So, if you had a star system or a dot system for reviews, I would give in a one-star for good idea with only one flaw: hand washing these are not for me.

PS: I wish I knew how to post additional pictures to give the reader a visual of what I typed above. I cannot find any way of doing that, so please forgive my wordy description on the SMOKESCREEN LABELING post. Sorry.

Hi @Anonymous, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Eurow Neattrax Mat. It really is quite unfortunate and shady that a manufacturer has to resort to misleading tactics to sell their products.

when the mat first came out it did not have the inner label requiring had washing. I machine wash on cold but do not machine dry. I've found the backing comes apart when machine drying.
For the price, I can live with the air drying. I have several that are three years old. The first couple of washes happen at the laundromat because of linting.

Hello @Anonymous, I guess the Eurow Neattrax Floor Mats are to delicate for machine washing or drying. But ya, at least they're inexpensive enough that if they can easily be replaced if they fall apart. It's good to hear though that your Eurow Neattrax Floor Mats are three years old...that's pretty good. Hopefully, they'll last a few more years.
