That's awfully disappointing that you have to unclog it often enough that it's an inconvenience. That's an interesting hack though to use ice cubes to try to clear it. I've never heard of that method, but it's definitely worth trying if my garbage disposer gets clogged. Thanks for the tip!ExecMemberMikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03388549180480657996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8576180706756831838.post-75644131297056665552021-06-03T16:32:16.558-07:002021-06-03T16:32:16.558-07:00I have had this disposer for over 2 years. The recommended solution is to put ice cubes into the disposal, run water and turn on the disposal. This usually works, but it will take 4-8 tries to get it cleared out. Just a complete waste of time. No other disposal has ever required so much maintenance. And this is considered acceptable by the manufacturer. Can't wait until this thing just dies so we can replace it with a more dependable unit. I will NEVER buy American Standard products again!fromthepittshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01347191091588310659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8576180706756831838.post-89821063739201558652021-06-03T16:32:06.781-07:002021-06-03T16:32:06.781-07:00I have had this disposer for over 2 years.
