We had a crew that had done many of these installs in the recent past and they had it up in 3.5 hours. We had an electrician install our 9 blade fan which came with an LED light. This did require a longer drop down although the gazebo installers said the sway bars weren't necessary if we wanted it higher up. With no winds in our area we left the gazebo intact and got the longer drop and it's perfect.<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8576180706756831838.post-64067000836024112042018-07-02T18:04:35.511-07:002018-07-02T18:04:35.511-07:00Uh oh. Assuming it is indeed safe to do so, I must say though that that's actually a pretty good idea. It'd be great for those warm days in the summer when it's nice to be outside, but too hot that you would need that fan to cool you down even further.ExecMemberMikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03388549180480657996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8576180706756831838.post-45858822145394490962018-03-19T17:10:28.172-07:002018-03-19T17:10:28.172-07:00is it possible to hang a fan in this gazebo? Anyway, ya it actually wouldn't surprise me if many people put up structures similar to the Yardistry 12' x 14' Cedar Gazebo with Aluminum Roof on their properties with no regard to local building laws, and I'm sure they do get away with it as well. If people do decide to go this route, there's definitely a certain amount of risk involved. Definitely, proceed at your own risk.ExecMemberMikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03388549180480657996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8576180706756831838.post-59964144798941627332017-04-07T23:14:23.549-07:002017-04-07T23:14:23.549-07:00Just bring it home and bolt it together. I guess anyone thinking about putting up a structure like the Yardistry 12' x 14' Cedar Gazebo with Aluminum Roof from Costco in the backyard or property must check his/her city or county laws in regards to obtaining the required permits. Of course, rules and regulations will vary per locale. I'm sure some places probably don't even require a building a permit to put up a gazebo. Yes, it would be great for Costco to mention this, but, unfortunately, they are under no obligation to do so, so definitely check your local building permit office beforehand.ExecMemberMikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03388549180480657996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8576180706756831838.post-8762860239677440782017-03-17T17:07:30.239-07:002017-03-17T17:07:30.239-07:00Bought this product. Also you must furnish the county with an engineer's wet signature and drawings would cost up or exceeding an additional $1500.00. You cannot put the thing where you want it on your property. The county inspector will tell you where you can place it. Also your property tax bill will go up and you have to also report it to your home insurance company. I wish Costco would have mentioned this to me before I bought this gazebo and hauled it home. It weights over 700 lbs. I guess I will be returning it.
